1. How to add IoT devices
Connect any type of IoT sensors to your TagoIO account using the connectors available for hundreds of device manufacturers. First click on ‘Add Devices’, select the network used to connect your sensor (MQTT, HTTPS, LoRaWAN, Sigfox, satellites…), and pick the right connector for your sensor. Enter the serial number, EUI, type of storage, and some parameters, and then click on ‘Create my Device’. You can now see the new device and a bucket associated with it. If you don’t find your device in the list, you can always create your own connector for it and include a parser to decode the raw data.
2. How to create dashboards
You can create beautiful dashboards for you and your end-users in just a few minutes. Select the type of dashboard, normal or blueprint (to scale your application), and start adding widgets such as dials, gauges, tables, maps, videos, forms, and more. You can use formulas, tabs, and embedded, to display on browser or in our free mobile app.
3. How to manage sensor data
It’s simple to manage data sent by sensors on our buckets. When using the Immutable storage type optimized for sensors, you can select the data retention period and visualize the most recent data sent by the sensors; you don’t need to be a database expert to start manipulating data. Besides raw data from sensors, you can also manipulate data from third-party systems such as SAP, ERP, CRM, or any other type of service.
4. How to process and integrate data in real-time
Using scripts that run in our Analysis, you can create fully customized PDF or CSV reports, run analytics in real-time, and push data to 3rd-party systems. Just access our Analysis module, click on ‘Add Analysis’, select the programming language, and start creating your own scripts — several snippets are already available as examples.
5. How to set actions and reports
Communicate with your customers by sending e-mails, SMS, and push notifications based on your own rules for the application. Just select the Actions module, click on ‘Create Action’, select a type of trigger and action, and input the parameters. Combining scripts with actions you can, for example, perform downlink functions - send data to control the IoT devices.
6. How to customize and deploy your own IoT platform
Define a domain for your portal, including your logo, theme, and color, all to engage your customers with your brand. First, click on the RUN module, select the tab ‘Main Configuration’ to add your logo, favicon, and title for the portal, and set the ‘Theme’ for all components in your application. Add your own domain using the tab ‘Domain’, define the language available for your users, and more. Then, just save the changes and the new portal will be instantaneously available for your customers. Make sure you define the access policies for all your users as well by clicking on ‘Add Policy’ under the Access module located on the sidebar.
